Black Mirror is a science fiction TV show that started airing in December 2011. This show revolves around a world that is run by high technology, computers, and avatars. A dozen of Youngish-Adults live in a closed space setting, spending their everyday life paddling on bicycle machines to earn money, in this film in the form of points. In this world the roles of humanity and computers have changed. the humans are acting like robots that wear black grey uniforms every single day and are not allowed to wear anything else, while the avatars on the big screens can take a walk in the park and change outfits. When humans buy new clothes online with their points they have earned, their computer averts wear the new clothes for them. This movie reminded me a lot of Hunger games. The world that is created in Black Mirror has a lot in common with the world of Hunger Games. Just like hunger games, there was a class difference amongst people and those on the higher class level enjoyed life while the ones down on the pyramid had to work very hard and be miserable. These young adults have all of these advanced technology in front of them but they are still miserable.
One thing I tried figuring out by watching Black Mirror was that if this show was trying to show the future or just a differ world. Because in the future, when technology grows, more needs are going to be fulfilled and that leads to an easier life and happier humans.
